2002-2005 Subaru Impreza WRX EMS P/N 30-1810 installation instructions

AEM engine Management System (EMS) is the result of extensive development in a wide range of vehicles. Each system is designed for a particular application. AEM EMS differs from all other in several ways. EMS is a "stand alone", which completely replaces the factory ECU and features a unique plug and play technology. There is no need to modify the factory tubes, and in most cases the vehicle may be returned to the resource within a few minutes. AEMPro software is configured to work with sensors of the factory and equipment, so there is no need for expensive or difficult to locate sensors, making spare parts and repairs as simple, as with the base vehicle. For items vehicles and slightly modified software can be programmed with parameters AEMPro base, providing a solid starting point for beginners tuning. For cars more heavily modified EMS has many inputs and outputs to spare the abolition of the extension of rev limiters, boost, nitrous controller controllers, computers, etc. It also includes the logger can be configured on board data capable of logging, 512 kb of information. Any EMS comes with all the features to install and activate, and there is no option or the upgrade must be performed.
While the baseline may be a good starting point and will save you a lot of time and money, it does not replace the need to tune your specific applications. AEM base maps are tuned carefully and are not intended to be aggressively driven. This can and will damage the camera.
Sensor MAF (mass air flow) can be removed in order to eradicate the limitation of air intake in the baseline uses sensor MAP factory to the detection engine load. However, X WRX/92 uses 5 Volt-MAF sensor type, which, in accordance with the project, includes IAT sensor (inlet) as one-piece. If there is a need for adjustment of the temperature of the air, AEM to IAT sensor Kit (P/N 30-2010), which are supplied complete with sensor connector wire and aluminium welds in the plugs.
Unlike other AEM maps base calibration WRX/92 X uses "Boost fuel the correct table." This was chosen to help streamline development boost to the different levels. Notice the "fuel Map"; is in the format of the dimensional 2 instead of the standard 3 dimensional. In the columns of the speed of the engine are all, each of which should be tuned. Lines (engine load) should theoretically, stay flat. Remember, "Boost fuel the correct table" already makes interpolation. This type of tune is great if harmful problems occur during the tuning, i.e.: large signal arm. Note: "Boost fuel the correct table" changes when the sensor to different map is to be installed.
